Technical Staff positions are available and HPRL is looking for applicants in this area of technology and research leadership. The position requires a scientific degree, with interest in motorcycles, bicycles and helmets. HPRL does research motorcycle and bicycle accidents and the performance of contemporary helmets in these accidents, as well as the more general areas of accident and injury causation. For these reasons, experience in motorcycle dynamics, injury biomechanics, system safety analysis, scientific accident reconstruction, and accident data analysis would be valuable.

There are varied research projects which provide interesting opportunities for accident data analysis, human factors engineering, helmet testing technology, field data collection activities, specialized consulting assignments, development of methodology for motorcycle and bicycle accident reconstruction, and simulation of helmeted head impacts.

HPRL is located in the Southwest Los Angeles area just a few miles from Los Angeles International Airport. Some travel is necessary; salary and benefits are negotiable.
