HEAD PROTECTION RESEARCH LABORATORY (HPRL) is a
scientific laboratory with extensive equipment for testing and evaluating
helmets and other forms of head protection equipment. HPRL tests, analyzes and evaluates
motorcycle helmets, bicycle helmets, aviation helmets, industrial safety helmets
and various related sports helmets and equipment. In addition, HPRL conducts specialized
research on motorcycle accidents with major projects in Europe and
Asia. Comprehensive research files are maintained on thousands of motorcycle
accidents, bicycle accidents and the detailed autopsy procedures to determine
head and neck injuries in fatal accidents.
